N. Dash at Museum of Contemporary Art Santa Barbara

In late November, the Museum of Contemporary Art Santa Barbara inaugurated a solo exhibition of New York–based artist N. Dash. The exhibition features new works—some shown for the first time—and includes large-scale paintings as well as pieces from the artist’s ongoing Commuter series.
Along the quiet wrinkles in paper, adobe and fabric, or the geometry formed in negative space, jute and string, Dash’s abstract minimalism evokes both the material traces of human contact and an ineffable desire to touch.
“N. Dash” is on view at the Museum of Contemporary Art Santa Barbara from November 22, 2019 to February 16, 2020.
